In a “Tell-Tale Heart” a significant theme is Obsession.

Throughout the text there are many examples.

In the first example,  the young man says, “I think it was his eye. His eye was like the eye of a vulture. This demonstrates Obsession by showing the young man focusing on the eye.

In another example, he believes, “For it was not the old man I had to kill; it was his eye , his Evil Eye. This proves he was Obsessed with the eye so he has to kill it.

In third example, he sees, “It was open-wide, wide open, and my anger increased as it looked straight at me.” This shows the eye made him crazy. Overall, Obsession, is seen throughout The Tell-Tale Heart.

  1. Cameron that was a very nice paper you wrote. I suppose you were practicing the different stages of anger a little bit this weekend when you were arguing with us about a few things.
